Stayed at the Hotel on 6th December with my wife and two other friends.Booked direct with the Hotel and opted to pay for parking on site.This was available from 12 pm so it was great to park up and go and enjoy the town prior to check in which was at 3pm.We had booked a double room with sea view and on my arrival at the room I can honestly say I was pleased with my booking.The room was lovely and warm and the bed comfortable.The view was brilliant.The bathroom was spacious and contained a bath with overhead shower.Both areas were spotlessly clean. We hadn’t booked anywhere for dinner so decided to enjoy the bar snacks.The food was lovely.The bar was great and the drinks reasonably priced.There was also bingo and live entertainment. If you go to this Hotel with reasonable expectations I am sure they will be exceeded.We all had a great time and the staff were brilliant. Breakfast the following morning was lovely and hot and was a help yourself buffet which was regularly replenished Overall experience was great.Thankyou Marine Hotel.
Very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was a last minute stay, at a really good price. The room was standard but nice, reasonable shower, the room was clean and the tv had a snooze setting (I'm serious they need to stop disabling this). Most of the staff were extremely friendly, big shout out to the bar man as well on that front. They dug out, and lent me a phone charger without thinking twice. The bar and restaurant are really decent, and the location is perfect.
The location is lovely with the beach and sea out the back. Fab during the summer. The rooms are a little dated however they are undergoing refurbishment. The food is lovely here also. The reception staff are amazing and so obliging especially Fiona and Vaso. Huge compliments to these 2 staff members in particular, having said that all staff seem lovely
The Establishment was absolutely faultless. From the front of house to the bar staff and restaurant staff. Going well and above what was expected. This was a very special. Trip for me, and my elderly father and my dog. They made the trip.... absolutely faultless. I can't praise you enough. For anyone wanting a twin accessible bedroom. Room 12. Is a large suite with a wet room raised toilet and sea view. Thank you so much for making this trip amazing.
Stayed for 2 days the hotel and staff were great, very accommodating to me and my dog. Room was basic but nice bathroom was a little worn though but all in all everything else was great, would stay here again.
This is a lovely old hotel. Ideally located right on the promenade. The room we stayed in was 309 (we hadn’t booked a sea view but this room came with a cheeky side view of the sea from our window). The team at the Marine Hotel were friendly and professional. The only thing I would change would be the mattress and pillows on - too hard ! Breakfast is Buffett style and good value for money. We ate in snack bar and the food was really nice.
Last minute one night stay. We chose a budget price room as we were only needed it for one night and we were pleasantly surprised. Room was clean, plenty of tea and coffee available, small but adequate shower room, tv and hairdryer. Bar meals and drinks are reasonably priced for a hotel. Would definitely recommend.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The room was very spacious, neat, and exceptionally clean. The sea view from my room was absolutely breathtaking — waking up to that view every morning felt incredibly peaceful and refreshing. The location was also perfect, with restaurants, attractions, and the sea-view promenade all within easy walking distance. Everything was conveniently close, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. I also received complimentary drink vouchers, which was a lovely touch and greatly appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I truly enjoyed my time here. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying again.
